KOOKS 1-7/8" or 2" Header Bundle Package
KOOKS Long-Tube Header Package for your 2016-2024 Camaro SS & ZL1
Give your LT1 / LT4 the power and sound you wish it had from the factory, and save maximum $$$ by bundling with the most common add on products from our friends at ARP Hardware, Brisk Spark Plugs, Granatelli Motorsports, DEI and BMR.
There is a good reason that Long Tube Headers and a Big Gulp seem to be the most popular “first mods” for the 6th Gen. Camaro Platform… Because they work!
Not only does a set of quality long tube headers save weight over the OEM cast iron manifolds, but they help make more power. Whether you purchase with a set of industry leading GESI cats or not, the quality & benefits of KOOKS cannot be denied.
When you bolt a set of KOOKS long-tube headers onto your 2016–2024 Camaro SS or ZL1, the car instantly feels like it’s been uncorked. Sharper throttle response, deeper tone, quicker revs, lower backpressure, and the kind of mid-range punch that makes you wonder how you ever drove without them. Whether you’re building a street-friendly weekend warrior or a 900+ rwhp monster, KOOKS headers are a great starting point when working to get the most out of your Camaro.
KOOKS long-tubes have been the gold standard in American V8 exhaust for over 60 years — and for good reason. Each system is hand-built from premium stainless steel, TIG-welded to perfection, and engineered to maximize scavenging on the 6th-gen Camaro platform.
This kit includes your choice of header configurations and connection pipes, so whether you’re staying emissions-friendly or going full race, you get exactly the setup your build needs.
Expect improved horsepower and torque across the entire RPM range, deeper exhaust tone, and noticeably reduced heat at the cylinder head thanks to improved exhaust evacuation. Best of all…. THEY FIT.
We have all had friends who went cheap, bolted on a set of “knock off” headers just to find out they don’t fit. Trust, me I was one of those guys years ago with my 2022 Z06. I was so upset that the cheap brands could not get it right, and after several tries to adjust, I gave up, sent them back and got a set of KOOKS.
WHY KOOKS? WHY NOW?
If you’re serious about making power… If you are serious about investing in parts that fit… and if you hate buyers remorse… then KOOKS is one of those upgrades you do once and never second-guess.
Proven power on both LT1 and LT4 platforms
Perfect for cammed, ported blower, E-blend, or high-boost builds
Excellent clearance for lowered cars and aftermarket motor mounts
High-quality welds and flanges that don’t leak
Designed to integrate with stock or aftermarket exhausts
Made in the USA
For ZL1 drivers… you know your supercharged LT4 has no problem getting air in…. the effort is getting that hot air out, FAST. Every intake, cam, and pulley change only works as well as the exhaust system behind it. KOOKS keeps the LT engine breathing correctly — making more power safely.
ABOUT KOOKS:
KOOKS has been a leader in American exhaust manufacturing since 1962. Founded by drag-racing legend George “Papa Kook” Kook, the brand grew from a small race-shop into one of the most respected names in headers and exhaust components worldwide.
Known for precision welds, perfect fitment, and race-proven results, KOOKS systems are used by top-level builders, racers, and enthusiasts who demand the highest quality. Every set is built in the USA and designed for real performance — not just sound.
WHAT ABOUT THE GAINS?
Do KOOKS headers help you make more power? YES! How much? Well, that depends on our build configuration. Don’t take it from me, check out a few you-tube build videos to see what others have made. Here is one below from our friends at Florida High Performance.
VIDEO.1 = HUGE GAINS on a nearly stock ZL1
WHAT SIZE TO GET?
Planning for 800whp+ then we suggest the 2” Kooks Header Option. 1-7/8” will work fine below 800whp. Save that $$$ for more go fast goodies!!!
CATS or no CATS?
Whether you have strict emissions guidelines in your area or not, the optional GESI catalytic converts are AMAZING! How do I know? Well, the “high flow” cats that came with my first set of headers started to “fold over” within 2k miles of installing my head and cam package. Dreading the $1,500 investment in the GESI 1,500hp capable 85230 cats I decided to try going cat-less for a few weeks, and now was that a mistake. I don’t think it took more than 2 days to determine that the extra exhaust smell, the extra volume, and raspy sounds were NOT going to work for me, so I had a local muffler shop weld up some V-Bands onto my awesome GESI cats and never looked back!
WHAT ABOUT THE HEAT?
Although there are many benefits to the reduction on mass (weight reduction, less heat soak into the head) the glaring issue is radiant heat. Long tube headers alone (with no wrapping or coating) radiant a significant amount more heat than the OEM manifolds with heat shields, which means heat management needs to be addressed. Although this portion is nuanced, here is our quick assessment. DEI Header Wrap is good, Jet Hot Coating is better and coating + wrapping is best. Do you need to do either of them, no… Just make sure you are running some high quality spark plug boots like THESE to help protect those wires. .
Although Jet Hot Coating is a great option, many builds just don’t have the 3-6 weeks needed to get that done, so they often opt for the next best solution. Our DEI wrap option for an easy DIY project to help keep your underwood temps in check for a fraction of the cost and time.
WHY THE BIG BUNDLE?
Simple, when you make access for headers, it’s not only easy to added these additions, but they are also recommended to get the most out of your car, and new header install.
1; BMR Motor Mounts. Not only do these help with weight reduction and throttle response, this eBMR Motor Mounts also help free up a bunch of space for header installation, which is why we always bundle these together but also installed them on our SHOP ZL1 at the same time as our headers.
2; Spark Plugs. No better time than after removing everything to gain access to the headers, to install a fresh set of Brisk Racing Silver Spark plugs for maximum power and efficiency. We like the RR12S for anything making more than 700whp.
3; Header Wrap. If you don’t have the 2 weeks needed to Jet-Hot, or you prefer the least expensive option, then our DEI Header Wrap Package may be the perfect blend of form and function as we aim to keep under-hood temps in check.
4; ARP Header Studs. For those who prefer to work alone, for those who want the aesthetic upgrade our 12-point polished SS header stud option is a great value, and there is not better time to install then along with your headers!
5; Spark Plug wires or boots. For those still running the OEM wires we highly recommend the Granatelli High Performance 0 ohm spark plugs wires for superior performance, heat protection and the color of your choice for that subtle splash of color. Already have some upgraded wires that you like? then consider our DEI protective boots.
