If you were like me, one of first things you noticed when driving your ZL1 for the first time was the noticeable latency or numbness when you went to mash on the go pedal. Frustrated, I went to the forums and not only found alot of other people with the same concern, but I found a few people that had already swapped out their oil filled, heavy and clunky motor mounts with the lightweight tubular BMR mounts. Worried that it would introduce unwanted noise and vibration I was hesitated, but ultimately took the leap of faith and boy am I glad I did.

Not only do they help tremendously with additional clearance for long tube header installation but the benefit you will feel on every drive is the more responsive throttle response, and a feeling that the motor is more “connected” to the chassis. A feeling I wish the OEM motor mounts could have provided. Clearly GM engineers worked hard against that “positive” feeling and spent alot of time with their “oil filled” design that actually makes throttle response feel numb. Just another example of GM missing the mark.

Luckily, BMR has done a great job with these poly bushing motor mounts, which I have personally enjoyed since day one, and I can easily recommend them to anyone who wants sharper throttle response, an engine that feels more connected to the chassis, and easily access for header installation.
