If you’re going through the work of making your LT4 more powerful & efficient, we suggest you invest in a head & cam package that will grow with you as your build progresses. Which was the core idea behind converting the 2026 LT4 Camshaft Shootout Winning Combination into a series of turn-key packages from mild to wild.

In short…

STAGE.I = Was designed for those who already have an aftermarket head or cam package installed and are ready for an upgrade away from there smaller Stage.I or Stare.II camshaft and ready for the most powerful and efficient camshaft of the shootout. You can read more about this package HERE.

STAGE.II = Was designed for those who are starting from a stock internal motor, or perhaps a set of parts that is no longer effective, and are ready for a complete “Heads + Cam + Boost” upgrade with all of the necessary hardware needed to make some killer gains, and turn some heads in the process. This is a deluxe package and is nearly identical to the parts we selected for our own 2022 Camaro ZL1 Shop Car. You can read more about this package HERE.

STAGE.III = Was designed for those who are starting from a stock internal motor, or perhaps a set of parts that is no longer effective. This package will provide you with not only, the exact set of Ported Flag Motorsports MACH.V Cylinder Heads, award winning Rick Crawford Camshaft, but also the same KONG X-PORTED Service and Katech 103mm TB that helped up gain over 300hp in the Camshaft Shootout. Along with all of the top-of-the line hardware and valve-train components we use in our own cars. If you want the easy button of H/C/Boost Combos? This is it.

The GMS Stage.III - LT4 Rick Crawford Camshaft Package

The GMS Stage.III package is designed around the custom Rick Crawford camshaft designed for the LT4 owner chasing maximum horsepower and, high revving, high RPM powerband. This camshaft proved to be very potent when paired with our Flag Motorsports Mach V ported heads. Best of all, it is a foundation that can keep working as your build moves toward a more cubic inches, or a larger 2650 / 3.0L supercharger.

In our engine dyno comparison, changing to the Rick Crawford cam, paired with the Flag Motorsports Mach V Heads, and a KONG Ported Blower… raised peak output on our baseline (stock form engine) from 684 to 1,006 hp. Thats a 322hp gain. As for torque, we picked up over 130lb-ft gain at peak torque! And we made this on only 15.8psi showing you just how efficient this head and cam package really is. Not to mention this combo would make even more power on E85 and tuned on a factory ECU as the Holley we used is a little limiting for Di control.

This package takes the guesswork out, and pairs our winning cam with all of the premium parts we would put in our car. This effort will provide you with the peace of mind you deserve when investing in more power.

What’s included in this BAD A** PACKAGE…

1. Custom Rick Crawford Camshaft
The centerpiece of the package: a high output LT cam with a 38% fuel-pump lobe.

2. Flag Motorsports Mach V Cylinder Heads
These meticulously CNC ported, machined and assembled heads are going to take your build to the next level. You can read more about what makes them so special HERE. Let’s just call them the secret sauce of this combo.

3. KONG X-PORT Service + Griptec + Katech 103mm + Pressure Sensor Adapter
As you likely already know, KONG Performance has been a leader in Supercharger Porting since day.1, and the performance he has been able to extract out of this little 1.7L blower is absolutely incredible. But we dont stop there, we also include the same Katech 103mm TB we use in our test, as well as the billet inlet pressure sensor adapter bracket that is required when running a 103mm TB on the factory 1.7L. Simply let me know in the order notes which color throttle body you want. We also provide an 8-rib GripTec Upper Pulley. 3. GM Cadillac Racing hydraulic roller lifters GM #88958689
A complete set of 16 premium lifters chosen for the demands of an aggressive, high RPM hydraulic valve-train. Includes (4) new GM Lifter Trays (you will reuse your tray bolts) Feel free to learn more about them HERE.

4. BTR Platinum Plus .685″ lift valve spring kit
Choose SK704/0520/BB for stock valve guides or SK704/6560/BB for bronze valve guides. The kit includes the matched spring hardware for its specified application. Confirm the head’s guide configuration, installed height, and valve-train clearances before installation.

5. BTR one-piece chromoly pushrods — set of 16
The final length is determined from measurements on your assembled engine. Your pushrods ship separately after you or your installer confirm the required length with GMS. The final BTR part number will reflect that measured length; PR7850375-16 denotes the 7.850-inch version, if that is the length your build requires.

6. Complete Gasket Package
Our Stage.II Head & Cam Package comes complete with the following gaskets. BTR MLS Head + Exhaust Manifold Gaskets, HPFP + Water Pump Gaskets, Camshaft Retainer Plate + Bolts, Valley and Valve Cover Gaskets.

7. Katech Billet Bundle Package
This is our deluxe package that includes only the best components for your build. It starts with the one and only Katech Oil Pump, C5R Timing Chain with Viton Chain Guide, Timing sprocket, Billet VVT Delete Front Cover + Billet DoD Delete Valley Cover. By far the most elegant package for your Gen.V LT Engine.

8. ARP Head Stud Kit
Last but not least, we pair the above hardware with premium ARP hardware. This package includes the APR Head Stud Kit #234-4342. Other items to consider if you want to “dress things up” would be all of our 12-point SS bolts for your Timing Cover, Valley Cover, Supercharger Lid, Valve Covers, Ignition Coils, Thermostat Housing, Oil Pan Bolts, and Header Studs just to name a few.

9. Misc. Hardware
Last but not least, we send you a replacement HPFP Fuel Lobe Lifter, OEM Cam Plate and bolts for good measure.

OPTION.1 - BTR Rocker Arms with integrated Trunnion Upgrade #GENVRKRS-16
These GM replacement LT rocker arms with BTR trunnions installed are an easy alternative for customers who don't have rocker arms or don't have the tools required to install a trunnion kit in their factory rocker arms. BTR's Trunnion kit uses the great lightweight GM rocker and gives it extra durability and range of motion for higher lift and higher speed camshaft applications. This options comes with ARM rocker arm studs for better clamping force, head protection and peace of mind.

OPTION.2 - DRIVEN Racing Assembly Lube + HP-X 0w-40 Oil + Oil Filter. For those who want to press the easy button, we also offer a turn-key lubrication package to round out the project. Cost includes shipping.

OPTION.3 - GM Supercharger Bolt + Gasket + Fuel Line Kit. Although many people decide to reuse most of what GM calls “one time use” parts like the supercharger bolts, fuel lines and gaskets, for those who want the extra peace of mind, we offer this as a separate optional package.

FUEL SYSTEM. In general, unless you are running pump gas, upgrading your fuel system will be needed if you desire to run this package with E85 (which we recommend) When it comes to fuel system upgrades, we have 3 distinct directions that range greatly in cost and complexity. Please email me to discuss. For the Camshaft Shootout, we opted to stay with Di and upgrade the components. You can read more about the RGX HPFP and XDI 50+ injectors we used HERE.

BOOST + BELT DRIVE KIT. If you don’t already have one, we highly recommend upgrading your lower damper to our ATI Damper + Lower Pulley Package. Even if your goal is to keep boost at or near stock level, we still highly recommend this upgrade. Because we have lots of options with 8, 10, and 12 rib belt drive kits, and multiple pulley combinations, the addition of this portion of this kit is best determined after a free consultation.
