Camaro ZL1 Aftermarket Parts
The Griffin Motorsports approach to aftermarket parts for the Camaro ZL1 starts with a simple idea: Your 6th generation Camaro is a fantastic platform, but clearly GM left alot on the table, and with tons of potential, it is our goal to help make it better in a multitude of ways. Whether you’re pushing hard on the track, carving roads on the weekend, or building a show-stopping cars & coffee cruiser… Griffin Motorsports has the parts you need, and the experience you want, to help you build something great!
GOOD NEWS; For the sake of constant improvement, we decided to make several changes to Gen.2 version of our signature GMS High Flow Impact bar. To start, we decided to lower the height approximately. .5” to allow for a pinch more clearance with our Stage.I Oil Cooler, and now also provided a fixed welded bracket which improves alignment, and makes for a faster and stronger install / connection. We improved our laser cutting files which makes for better fitment on our welding jigs, which also saves a few bucks in welding labor, that we are happy to pass on to you. The biggest improvement for this next version of our crash bar, is the in the wind deflectors. Because we don’t sit around and wait for something to break, in order to fix or improve it… it should be no surprise that we decided to completely redesign the wind deflectors to provided a much more efficient air path from the massive ZL1 grill opening into either the main front HX, lower AUX coolers and brake ducts. This process alone required dozens of hours of 3D modeling, trial and error, test fitting and more test fitting in order to get it just right.
One of the most loved design aspects of the 6th generation Camaro ZL1 is the massive front grill opening. Not only does this fill a vital role in allowing as much air as possible to pass over the front HX and radiator, but it also adds an aggressive design statement that is either loved or envied. Having seen a few modified ProCharger cars that remove the crash bar all together, we not only fell instantly in love with the now “clear view” of the upgraded HX, but had that light bulb moment to create a product that would kill three birds, with one proverbial stone. After weeks of testing various designs on our mule car, we ended up with the final design you see now. An all rectangle steel frame with tubular hoops that provide not only a clear view of the ZL1’s massive heat exchanger for a clear aesthetic improvement, but also for an improvement in airflow, while still providing some protection in low speed impacts vs. having no impact bar at all. Adding to this innovative patent pending design is a pair of two piece custom CNC’d aluminum air deflectors that help prevent air from trapping at the bolt flanges. Rather, they channel to either the main or auxiliary coolers. Outfitted with a heavy duty front tow hook coupler and treated to a satin wrinkle black powder coated finish, this product was design to offer a turn-key solution to improve a poorly designed OEM part. This product ships with all of the hardware you need. Installation instructions can be downloaded below. Although this product was literally designed in the garage, this 3D modeled assembly is fabricated using precision laser cut parts for a professional fit.
TIP: In order to take advantage of the labor needed to install, consider one of our package deals that includes upgraded Heat Exchangers, AUX oil cooler, as well as a 2 gallon fender tank, 160 degree thermostat, and more. Track your car? then you should absolutely consider our Stage.III High Flow Impact Bar and Oil cooler package that places a massive 2-pass oil cooler directly behind the “flow tie” and upper grill portion. All of these modifications combined will have a tremendous impact on the cooling and performance of your Super Charged ZL1.
SYSTEM BENEFITS:
Greatly improved aesthetics providing a clear view of your OEM or upgraded front heat exchanger.
Specifically designed to support our Stage.I Oil Cooler directly behind the “flow tie” where it belongs.
Improved cooling by allowing more air to directly hit the front heat exchanger and radiator.
Specifically designed to weight exactly the same as the OEM to prevent a weight penalty.
3D designed, laser cut and professionally welded for a perfect bolt on fit with no modifications needed. Attaches to all OEM locations.
Includes a durable satin wrinkle Powder Coat for an easy to clean, long lasting finish.
Fitment: This version was designed and tested on the 2017 - 2024 6th Generation Camaro ZL1 and ZL1 1LE only.

We take great care in selecting which components would offer the best combination of performance, durability and value for all of our cooling packages. Not only for our test car, but for yours as well. It’s this passion for improvement that led us to working our friends at CSF to modify an existing design, in order to give you more flexibility and better performance.
GMS worked closely with the team at CSF to make some improvements to their existing #8207 design by removing the fixed GM quick connect fittings in favor of a pair of -10 ORB female bosses which gives you the flexibility to run the OEM 5/8” quick connects (included in the box), push lock or AN fittings of your choice. We also changed the finish so all three units match in color and provide uniform aesthetics as well as proven cooling results. The ORB bungs also allow you to remove the OEM 5/8” hose / fittings and upgrade to 3/4” between the AUX and Main HX by simply installing a -10 ORB to -12 AN adapter. Note: In an effort to maximize the size of these units, cutting the upper bracket in one corner may be needed on some cars. Additionally, modifications will be needed for the 3/4” option depending on the fittings and preferred hose routing. This effort to upgrade to 3/4” fittings and hoses yielded us a 20% increase in flow using the factory pump!!!
Each CSF Radiator design, custom or not, undergoes rigorous testing before it is brought to market. Testing includes:
-Individually leak tested
-Vibration cycle tested
-Thermal cycle tested
-Wind tunnel cycle tested.
-Burst pressure and impulse cycle tested for strength
-Salt spray tested for corrosion
-10 foot box "drop test" to ensure packaging protection
Not only are these CSF built beauties more efficient and more durable than OEM but they also add approx. 150% more capacity to the supercharger cooling system vs. the OEM parts. (3 cups vs 2 cups).
GMS takes pride in offering the very best components for your car. As LT4 purists, we want to squeeze as much power as we can from the LT4 factory 1.7L blower. As most of you know, making big power with these compact blowers often means spinning them faster, which is a double edged sword. As the blower speed increases, so does the heat generated by the blower, which quickly illuminates the weakness of the factory HX cooling system. So whether you are simply trying to keep your otherwise stock ZLE happy on the track, or your 1000HP street racer is combating your sky rocketing IAT’s this HX combo will help.
Want to keep track of your IAT’s and oil temps in real time? Add an incredible Banks iDash to your cart for maximum monitoring capabilities.
Whats in the box:
(2) GMS Aux Coolers (with 5/8” Quick Connects)

By popular demand, Griffin Motorsports delivers another simple solution to a common aftermarket problem… The rear bumper parachute effect. Although the GMS Rear Bumper Belly Pan is hidden once installed, the benefits will not be!
Question: So, who needs one?
Answer: Everyone who has removed the OEM suitcase muffler and installed just about any of the awesome aftermarket axle-back muffler packages available to the 6th Generation Camaro.
Why: Well, for those of us who have replaced the factory “suitcase” muffler with a cat-back / axle-back of choice for better sound and a weight reduction, there was a hidden and unfortunate tradeoff.
As ugly and heavy as the OEM suitcase muffler was, it did contribute to the cars overall aero effectiveness by providing a gentle airflow path from the rear differential past the bumper without allowing the air to get trapped within the large bumper cavity.
Which is exactly what’s revealed when the OEM muffler is removed and replaced with most of the aftermarket muffler options. (it’s ok if you missed it, we were also too busy staring at the new shiny exhaust tips)
The issue here is the parachute effect that is created by the large bumper cavity after the muffler is removed. An issue that ALL OEM’s and aftermarket aero designers for all automotive makes / models work hard to prevent. The reason?
1. Aerodynamic Drag
If the rear bumper has an open area, especially one that acts like a scoop or cavity, it can trap air as the car moves at any speeds.
This creates turbulence and increased drag — meaning your car is pushing against more air resistance than it prefers, which can provide unwanted resistance and reduced fuel efficiency.
2. Lift at the Rear
That trapped air can create positive pressure in the bumper area.
Since cars are designed to reduce lift (especially at high speed), this pressure buildup can provide unwanted lift, which could reduce traction.
3. Rear-End Stability
That kind of trapped air can lead to instability as the airflow becomes unpredictable, which can cause little wiggles or even sway in high-speed turns.
This is particularly noticeable in cars that rely on aero or have diffusers as the disruption in airflow may disturb the cars ability to stay planted.
Clearly our solution is NOT new within the motorsports community, but it is new for the 6th Generation Camaro. Manufactured from lightweight but strong 5052 H32 x .080” thick aluminum the GMS Rear Bumper Belly Pan installs in minutes using all OEM mounting points with no drilling required, and best of all, you don’t even need lift! The belly pan is delivered with the added protection of a durable black powder coat with satin wrinkle finish to protect against wear and tear, and help your undercarriage look OEM or better for all who have a chance to see it. We also thought ahead and provided a laser cut custom rubber gasket to protect the mating surface between the Bottom of your bumper and the belly pan. We also provide two custom foam gaskets for the mating surface between the upper mounts and the undercarriage heat shield.
WARNING; Preliminary testing results have already shown a 1-2 MPG increase in fuel economy and faster lap times, which may increase overall happiness. Although anecdotal, it is a start, with more testing being conducted now. Stay tuned for more!
FITMENT: Although the variants below are separated by muffler brand and designed to contour close to your muffler design, please be aware that not all muffler installations are alike. Your fitment results may vary depending on exactly how your installer did. Some adjustments to muffler location may be needed. We observed this even within our production design and testing where many cars mufflers sit in different locations and are rotated differently. So much in fact that we are unable to adjust for this. We need to make these symmetrical, and aim to fit snug to prevent large air gaps. Your mufflers may need to be adjusted for the best looking fit. You have been warned! Also note, that the ZL1’s have three homes in the bumper where the SS only have two. All of our belly pans are design to fit both, and will come with the 3rd hole. For SS users, either upgrade to a ZL1 (I know you want to) or consider this extra hole a small weight reduction and an advantage over the rest of us!

The 6th Generation Camaro ZL1's hood is clearly a work of art, and admired by many. Not just for its beautiful lines, and converging materials but most all, because it is functional. Unfortunately, GM was required to balance extracting as much heat as possible while minimizing the intrusion of water into the engine bay. The GM solution was a large and unfortunatly restrictive water guard. While this design serves its purpose in heavy rain, it inevitably constrained the hood's cooling capacity, and worst of all, this limitation has gone largely unaddressed by the aftermarket… until now!
Inspired by the formidable GT4.R race car, we set out to create a sleek, cost-effective solution that delivers quantifiable performance benefits, with a minimalist form factor. We achieved this by replacing the restrictive factory rain guard with our precision-engineered, 3/16” thick all-aluminum GMS High Flow Hood Insert Bracket. Installing is quick, and will help ZL1 owners unlock a 70% + increase in airflow area allowing for better heat extraction and cooling potential, while maintaining the current carbon insert location and angle. For those weight reduction nerds, this upgrade also sheds around 2 pounds over the OEM rain guard.
Although the engine bay is designed to handle water contact, we recommend this modification for fair weather driving only. Installation is a breeze, and includes upgraded stainless steel hardware, or you can utilizing all existing factory hardware. The GMS High Flow Hood Insert Bracket is meticulously crafted from thick .125” aluminum, following the natural lines of the hood, and finished with a matte black powder coat finish to maintain a clean, OEM aesthetic.
Below are the results of our first street driving test. More high speed and track results to follow.
Underhood Ambient Temperatures measured after a (45 min street / freeway drive with our 900hp ZL1) and a 3 min. idle with hood closed on a 72F day. This was a light drive with moderate acceleration intended to mimic normal driving. Average oil temps were 185F during the test as evidence.
Near Radiator Support (balanced both sides) = 27F Temp Reduction
Near Last Coil Pack (balanced both sides) = 15F Temp Reduction
Surface Temperatures measured once the hood was opened.
Katech 103mm TB = 11F Temp Reduction
DMS Supercharger Lid = 13F Temp Reduction
Katech Cast Valve Covers = 19F Temp Reduction
Coated American Racing Headers = 28F Temp Reduction
Because this test was conducted with light driving only, higher temp reductions can be expected during hotter days and more extreme driving. Stay tuned for independent track testing results…
The GMS High Flow Hood Bracket is a must have for those who race or drive in warm / hot climates, considering how much heat is produced by the supercharged LT4 engine modified or not. Just another way Griffin Motorsports is working hard to help you keep your ZL1 cool!
This inexpensive upgrade benefits all driving situations, not just on the race track. We have tested this on our 1,000hp car for over 4,500 miles, speeds up-to 150mph, and dozens of car washes with no issues. Installs in 20 minutes and can easily be reverted back to OEM in 10 min or less for harsh weather seasonal driving.

By popular demand GMS brings you another simple solution to a long standing gap in the 6th generation Camaro aftermarket. The infamous back seat fuel pump access hatch is finally available for the 6th Generation ZL1. Although this style product is very popular on earlier Camaro generations, It is pretty clear why the aftermarket decided against offering a 6th generation variant once you see the sheet metals off-angle gradual tapper, which would make designing and building one that fit… a complete pain in the a**. Luckily, that did not scare us away from creating a turn-key solution to provide you the convenient in-tank fuel pump access the DIY’er’s like us need when upgrading or servicing their in-tank fuel pump.
Our solution is fairly straight forward, and geared towards the DIY’ers like me, who greatly dis-like the idea of jacking up the car, dropping the exhaust system, drive shaft, trans / diff coolant lines, and fuel tank…. while working on the garage floor, for an install, service, testing or adjustments. Having a friend who had to do that same process 5 times in 3 months due to issues with his fuel pump, was all I had to hear, in order to motivate me to help design this tricky part for everyone to benefit from. To think he could have saved over 20 hours of labor had he been able to simply raise the back seat, and remove our custom hatch with a few bolts in order to troubleshoot the issues he was having.
Sometimes being late to the party, is better than not showing up at all.
So if you have plans to upgrade your in-tank pump, or simply service the OEM pump, you may want to consider the convenience of installing the GMS 6th Gen. Back Seat Fuel Pump Access Hatch in order to make every future service or upgrade, hours and hours faster of an endeavor.
Each access panel is laser cut and bump bended from .063” thick aluminum and treated to a hand cleaning and scotchbrite finish. Each panel also ships with a .25” thick foam weather strip tape applied to the perimeter of the panel to help seal any gaps between the two oddly shaped elements.
It’s taken me over 2 months and 5 design revisions to get this just right for my car, and I hope the fruits of my labor help safe you some grief, time and money on your next build!

By popular demand, Griffin Motorsports is now offering a TURN KEY auxiliary fuel filter + fuel line connection kit bundle to help make things easier when connecting to the OEM fuel system lines. This is a MUST HAVE for those who are running upgraded Di Injectors, and want to protect your investment from harmful contaminents, and don’t want to clutter up the engine bay. Which was exactly the case that motivated us to create the custom bracket that would support the serviceable Racetronix fuel filter we wanted to use.
We chose this specific Racetronix filter housing for a few distinct reasons. 1: At only 5.5” long and approximately. 2” in diameter and equipped with -10 ORB high flow directional inlets and outlets this this filter body works double duty by being super compact yet high-flowing, which allows you the flexibility to use a wide range of fuel lines from -6 to -10 depending on your fuel volume needs. 2: Was the intelligent two piece case design allowing you access to inspect / clear or replacement the 10 Micron 304SS Filter Element with magnetic base.
For the bracket, it was important that we utilize the largest cavity under the car for easy access even when working off jack stands like me. We designed this bracket to perfectly contour the dimensions of this filter body, and utilizes OEM attachment points. The .063” aluminum bracket is lightweight, and treated to a durable satin wrinkle black powder coat and paired with SS clamp hardware.

Why Upgrade Your Camaro ZL1?
There are so many reasons why upgrading your ZL1 makes sense. Most of which revolve around going faster, staying cooler and stopping quicker. Although the ZL1 is great right out of the box, anyone who has seen or driven a version of the ZL1 that is built anywhere near the level our shop car is built at, would quickly agree, the car can be sooooo much better! Here’s why aftermarket parts make all the difference:
Enhanced Performance, Your Way
Even with the supercharged LT4, there's still a ton of untapped potential in the ZL1 platform. Upgrading key components, such as cooling systems, fuel systems, air intake / supercharger, and exhausts, unlocks more power and maintains it consistently under stress. It’s about building a car that pulls harder, runs cooler, and feels sharper every time you drive it.
Tighter Handling And Control
The ZL1’s stock suspension is solid, but aftermarket upgrades offer precision tuning for your driving style. Whether you're dialing in for the track or refining your daily setup, parts like reinforced chassis braces, Ridetech Coilovers, and heavy duty control arms can deliver real improvements in responsiveness and chassis feel.
Build It To Reflect Your Style
Performance is one-half of the story. Visual impact is the other. Custom mods, such as crash bars, gauge clusters, coil relocation kits, aero components, and exterior accents, let your ZL1 stand out while serving a purpose. Griffin Motorsports creates pieces that look aggressive and function with purpose.
Built For Longevity And Reliability
Aftermarket doesn’t just mean faster. It can also mean smarter. Replacing OEM parts with more efficient alternatives helps reduce wear, lower temperatures, and remove factory limitations. The result is a ZL1 that performs better now and holds up longer over time.
Our Approach To Aftermarket ZL1 Parts
We don’t build parts for shelf space. We make them for ZL1 owners who expect more from their cars. Every Griffin Motorsports component starts with hands-on testing, real-world performance goals, and a drive to push the platform beyond factory limits. Here's how we approach every product we develop:
Designed With Purpose, Not Just Looks
Function always leads our design process. Before any part is cut or coated, we define the performance goals it needs to meet. Whether it’s improving airflow, increasing rigidity, or shedding weight, every component must deliver a measurable benefit to your build. The aesthetic follows that foundation, giving you parts that perform and look like they belong on a serious machine.
Tested On Our Own Zl1s First
We’re not guessing. We test-fit and abuse every product on our in-house builds before it is ever released on the site. From daily driving to aggressive track sessions, we subject parts to more than one kind of stress to ensure they hold up and perform as expected. If it doesn’t make our cars better, it doesn’t make it into yours.
Built For The Garage Experience
Griffin parts are designed with the installer in mind. That means thoughtful mounting points, clean welds, and minimal prep out of the box. Most of our customers install parts themselves, and we design with that kind of user in mind. Quality fitment should not be a luxury; it should be the standard.
Cooling And Performance Mods That Matter
The Camaro ZL1 delivers impressive factory performance, but anyone pushing the limits knows where things start to heat up. Controlling temperature and airflow is crucial when adding power or tracking the car. That's why our cooling and performance upgrades are designed to do more than just look the part:
Keep Heat In Check Where It Counts
Heat is the enemy of consistency. Our performance cooling components are built to manage temps during repeated pulls, spirited drives, and track abuse. Whether you're upgrading the front crash bar for improved airflow or adding a more efficient heat exchanger, every part plays a role in keeping your ZL1 cool under pressure.
Build For Power Without Compromise
Higher horsepower demands stronger supporting systems. From improved intake airflow to performance exhaust integration, our parts are engineered to work together without disrupting factory geometry. You can add power without dealing with unwanted trade-offs or installation headaches.
Designed To Work With The Platform
Our ZL1 aftermarket parts aren’t pulled from a generic shelf. Each item is crafted around the unique demands of the Camaro ZL1 platform. That means smarter cooling paths, optimized angles, and compatibility with both OEM and other aftermarket components.
Visual Mods And Custom Aesthetic Touches
A true ZL1 build doesn’t just perform better, it looks the part. For owners who want their car to turn heads as confidently as it takes corners, visual mods are a crucial part of the upgrade path. For this reason, we aim to meet a high standard for the parts we build and the vendors we add to our packages.
Standout Style With Purpose
Our signature GMS High Flow ZL1 front crash bars are one of the most recognizable upgrades for the ZL1, but they’re not just about looks. They’re durable, improve airflow, and come finished in a way that complements aggressive builds. Every piece is built to elevate your presence without compromising performance.
Clean Fitment, No Guesswork
Visual upgrades should install as cleanly as they look. Each part is shaped to follow factory lines and mount with precision. That attention to fitment gives your build a factory-plus finish, tight, intentional, and ready for street or show.
Built For The Zl1 Community
ZL1 owners know what they want. We listen closely to customer feedback and use it to shape new designs that deliver both style and performance. Every visual mod we release is thoroughly tested in-house and specifically designed for the Camaro ZL1 platform. It’s not about copying trends. It’s about building upgrades that move the look forward.
Made In The USA: Quality You Can Count On
At Griffin Motorsports, we don’t outsource performance. Every part we design is proudly built right here in the United States, using high-grade materials and strict quality control. For us, American-made isn't just a label. It's a standard.
Materials That Match The Mission
We source materials based on what the part needs to handle, not what cuts corners. From lightweight tubing to precision welds, every decision is made to support performance, strength, and long-term durability. Our parts are built to withstand high heat, heavy use, and severe stress, just like the cars they’re installed on.
Skilled Hands Behind Every Build
Our fabrication team brings years of hands-on experience in motorsports, fabrication, and performance engineering. Every weld, cut, and bracket is handled by individuals who are knowledgeable about cars and committed to quality. It's a difference you can see when the part arrives and feel when it's installed.
Supporting The Community That Supports Us
Choosing American-made means investing in a community of builders, tuners, and car owners who care about more than just numbers. We’re proud to be part of that. When you install ZL1 custom mods from Griffin Motorsports, you’re getting more than just a product; you’re getting the result of purpose-driven design and local craftsmanship.

-
It depends on the buyer. Some mods can raise interest among enthusiasts, while others may be seen as too aggressive for daily drivers.
-
In some cases YES. A custom tune can optimize gains from upgrades like intakes, exhausts, supercharger lids and more, while upgrades like fuel system changes, ported superchargers and more require a tune.
-
We also advice that the Banks iDash Pro Data be one of the first mods to be installed for a long list of reasons we should cover later. Following that would be an E85 sensor for the power, a Supercharger Lid and intake for the whine, headers for the power and volume. So many more items on the next list!

Often, yes. Many are made with aluminum or composite materials to reduce weight and improve performance without sacrificing strength. A great example would be the full exhaust system, super charger lids, Ridetech Coilovers, and more.
