6th Gen Camaro Gauge Pods
We’ve built, tuned, and tested sixth-gen Camaros across a range of setups—from mild street cars to full-blown race builds. At Griffin Motorsports, we don’t just sell parts — we run them, abuse them, and refine them so our customers get only what works. That means every 6th gen Camaro gauge pod we carry is selected for quality, fitment, and how it performs when things heat up.
6th. GEN Camaro Defroster Single Gauge POD
FINALLY, a Single Gauge POD Designed specifically to friction mount both the Banks iDash + AEM Wideband gauges. No more messing with double sided tape, glue, or cheap looking finishes.
Although we personally use the ZZP Dual Pillar Pod to display our Dual Banks iDash PRO gauges on the 850whp Camaro ZL1 GMS Shop Car, we have received dozens of requests to make a single gauge defroster vent pod that will not only support the Banks iDash PRO (our favorite single mod to a 6th. Gen. Camaro) but one that also fits the gold standard AEM Wideband gauge without any branding or logos on the side.

What Is A 6th Gen Camaro Gauge Pod?
A 6th Gen Camaro gauge pod is a custom mount designed to hold one or more aftermarket gauges in a clean, visible, and secure location inside your vehicle. It allows drivers to monitor critical engine and vehicle data that may not be shown on the factory dashboard. For performance builds or track setups, having real-time access to this information is key.
Most gauge pods for the sixth-gen Camaro are designed to fit into factory-style locations like the A-pillar, defroster vents, or center console area. Whether you're tracking boost, oil pressure, AFR, or intake air temps, a well-placed gauge pod keeps your eyes where they should be — on the road or strip — while still staying informed.
Why Add A Gauge Pod To Your Camaro?
Upgrading your Camaro’s performance means more than just adding horsepower — it means staying informed about what your engine is doing at all times. A properly mounted 6th gen Camaro gauge pod makes that possible by putting the right information in the right place. Here's how adding a gauge pod goes beyond looks and becomes a smart part of any build:
Track Critical Engine Metrics In Real Time
Once you start modifying your Camaro, especially with forced induction, stock gauges just don't cut it. Adding a pod allows you to monitor vital metrics like boost, E85, wideband AFR, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. These numbers help you stay ahead of problems before they become expensive repairs.
Protect Your Investment With Preventive Data
Gauge pods give you a real-time view of how your engine is responding under stress. You’ll catch signs of heat soak, lean running, or oil pressure drops early — giving you time to shut things down or adjust your tune before damage occurs. For LT1 and LT4 platforms with the dreaded factory oil pumps, this kind of feedback is essential.
Enhance Interior Function Without Sacrificing Style
A well-designed Camaro gauge pillar pod or dash-mounted pod fits flush with your interior and keeps everything within arm’s reach. There’s no need for temporary mounts or clutter. A clean, permanent solution not only improves functionality — it gives your interior a finished, track-ready look.
Dial In Performance Upgrades With Better Visibility
If you’re already running an OEM or upgraded LT4 supercharger, accurate data is a must. A GMS Single defroster gauge pod or Dual Pillar pod outfitted with the award winning Banks iDash PRO super gauge lets you stay tuned in while under boost, helping you get the most out of every mod without compromising safety or drivability.
Types Of Gauge Mounts For The Sixth Gen Camaro
There are a few popular configurations when it comes to sixth gen Camaro gauge pod setups, each offering a different balance of visibility, style, and ease of installation. At Griffin Motorsports, we’ve seen them all — and we know which ones work best depending on your build, because we have tried them all.
Windshield Suction Mounts
Some enthusiasts prefer a more temporary “track only” setup. For those users we offer a windshield suction mount pod as a $45 option. Perfect those those who only want to use there Banks iDash for temporary use, or higher in the field of view.
Defroster Vent Mounts
For a cleaner, more integrated OEM look, Griffin Motorsports decided to make our own GMS defroster vent single gauge pods specifically designed to support either a Banks iDash or AEM Wideband gauge with our patented friction grip design.
A-Pillar Dual Gauge Pods
This is the classic choice for visibility, and those who want to run either DUAL Banks iDash like we do, or our Banks iDash +AEM Wideband Bundle. An A-pillar pod mounts vertically along the driver’s side windshield pillar and holds two of your favorite gauges. It’s a favorite among performance builders because it keeps the gauges high and in line with your vision without being distracting, and when running Dual iDash Gauges like us, allows you to see and data log up to 16 lines for additional data!
Choosing The Right Gauges For Your Setup
Not all gauges and pods are created equal, and selecting the right ones depends on how your Camaro is built and how you drive it. Whether you're focused on daily drivability or high-performance tracking, matching the right sensors and gauge types to your application is just as important as mounting them properly. Here’s a breakdown of key gauges worth considering:
Boosted Application?
Then there are a few things you must keep an eye on, like Intake Air Temps (IAT’s) and or Manifold Air Temps (MAT’s) both of which are NOT found on the factory display. This is the #1 reason why we ran the Banks iDash on our car since day one. This information is critical for keeping an eye on power robbing heat soak. We take this one step further and offer a turn key data collection package that allows you to run additional auxiliary pressure and temperature sensors in the supercharger cooling system giving you insightful data into the performance (or lack there of) of the performance of your heat exchanger system. Our most common being our Stage.II Package that would work well with our new GMS Defrosted Vent Pod, or our Stage.III Package which can allow you to also keep track of your Oil Temps / Pressure when using our Stage.II Oil Cooler Package. Thanks to Bank’s wide range of sensors you can also run additional EGT sensors for turbo applications.
NA Applications?
When compression is cranked up, and the RPMS are well over 7K tracking your AFR and oil temps are critical. For those applications we offer our signature Banks iDash + AEM Wideband bundle that gives you all of the best hardware you want, all the savings you deserve and all the data need to drive with confidence.
E85 Applications?
Look no further than the Banks iDash PRO DATA, which will allow you to not only monitor your ethanol content, but it will allow you to data log your runs, in order to see if you put yourself into a lean condition due to changing weather or boost fluctuations. Having the ability to see your ethanol content right where you want it along with 7 other metrics is critical to getting the most out of your car, and being safe when things get spicy.
Pairing Gauge Pods With Performance Upgrades
As your Camaro evolves with power upgrades, your need for precise, real-time engine data grows just as fast. A 6th gen Camaro gauge mount doesn’t just complete the look — it becomes a functional part of your performance setup. This is why we recommend the Banks iDash and our GMS Single Vent Pod as one of the first mods to your SS or ZL1.

Yes, none of our options require any drilling.
-
It depends on what you’re monitoring. Thanks to the Banks iDash you can now track up to 8 lines of data in a single pod, but for those who want more than 8 or want to run the AEM wideband, then the Dual pods are the only way to go.
