MBRP Race Series Axleback Exhaust
MBRP Race Series Axleback Exhaust - Camaro SS / ZL1 - S7036AL & S7036BLK
Big V8 Sound. Bold Quad-Tip Style.
For those wanting a more aggressive voice for your 6th. Gen Camaro, then you must consider the MBRP Race Series quad-tip axleback exhaust. Designed for sixth-generation Camaro SS and ZL1 models equipped with factory NPP exhaust, this rear-section upgrade replaces the bulky OEM suitcase muffler while retaining your existing upstream exhaust.
Choose polished steel tips for a classic performance look, or black-coated tubing and tips for a stealthier finish. Both options deliver MBRP’s Race sound profile with 3-inch tubing and a purposeful quad-outlet appearance.
AGGRESSIVE SOUND WITH ACOUSTIC CONTROL
Your Camaro should sound as exciting as it feels. MBRP developed the S7036 axleback family with a performance exhaust note and what the manufacturer describes as a “zero-drone design.”
The system combines mandrel-bent tubing with tuned rear sections to deliver a stronger V8 soundtrack while addressing unwanted cabin resonance. Exhaust volume and cabin sound will depend on your vehicle, operating conditions, and other modifications, especially headers and changes to catalytic converters or midpipes.
CHOOSE YOUR FINISH
• S7036AL — ARMOR Lite: aluminized steel tubing with polished T304 stainless steel tips. A value-focused option for drivers who want an aggressive soundtrack and bright quad-tip styling.
• S7036BLK — ARMOR BLK: black-coated aluminized steel tubing with black-coated T304 stainless steel tips. A coordinated finish for drivers who prefer a darker rear profile.
These two systems share the Race sound profile; the primary choice is finish.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
• Dual axleback configuration with quad rear outlets.
• 3-inch mandrel-bent tubing.
• Four 4-inch outlet exhaust tips.
• Dual-wall, angle-cut tip construction.
• T304 stainless steel tips.
• Aluminized steel system tubing.
• Black-coated tubing and tips on S7036BLK.
• Factory hanger locations used during installation.
• Clamps and actuator relocation brackets supplied.
• Factory upstream exhaust retained.
• No replacement X-pipe or midpipe included.
OPTIONAL GMS Rear Bumper Belly Pan
Complete your exhaust upgrade with the optional GMS Rear Bumper Belly Pan, as removing the factory suitcase muffler exposes a large cavity beneath the rear bumper where air can collect, creating the unwanted “parachute effect.” The GMS belly pan closes off this opening to promote smoother airflow beneath the rear of your Camaro and help reduce turbulence and aerodynamic drag. Made from lightweight .080-inch 5052-H32 aluminum with a durable black wrinkle powder-coat finish, it installs using factory mounting points with no drilling required. Protective rubber and foam gaskets are included, with dedicated versions available for both AWE Touring and Track exhausts. You can read more about them HERE.
FITMENT
• 2016–2024 Chevrolet Camaro SS.
• 2017–2024 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
• 6.2L V8 applications.
• Factory NPP-equipped models only, per MBRP’s current application notes.
• Confirm your exact vehicle and exhaust configuration before ordering.
NPP fitment does not mean retained NPP functionality. These systems replace the rear exhaust valves, so factory drive-mode selections no longer change the rear exhaust sound. MBRP’s installation procedure transfers the original actuators to the supplied mounting brackets and reconnects their wiring.
WARRANTY & MATERIAL SELECTION
• S7036AL: three-year limited system warranty.
• S7036BLK: three-year limited system warranty and one-year finish warranty.
• Manufacturer terms and exclusions apply.
Aluminized steel offers an affordable route to improved sound and styling. MBRP positions these materials for dry conditions; drivers regularly exposed to road salt or harsh winter weather should consider a stainless steel alternative.
Choose polished or black. Add the matching GMS belly pan. Give your Camaro the sound and rear-end finish it deserves.
