We know that it’s easy to miss some of the small details when planning an engine rebuild or head and cam upgrade for the LT engine. With all of the attention paid towards the cam selection, lifters, and cylinder head options, it’s easy to miss the small details like lifter trays. Or worse… you make the mistake of reusing them to save a few bucks or thinking that they are reusable when they are not. We have seen entire aluminum blocks thrown in the trash because of 1 lifter that twisted in the lifter tray and caused nothing but disaster for the motor.
So If the heads are already off for a cam swap or lifter replacement, this is the time to give the guides some attention. The BTR95365-4 set replaces all four lifter trays in a compatible LS or LT V8 running conventional drop-in hydraulic roller lifters.

Why the Guides Matter
Each tray engages the flats on four lifter bodies. The lifters can travel up and down in their bores while the tray keeps them from turning. That keeps each roller in line with its cam lobe. If the lifters turn in a reused or worn lifter tray… well let’s just say, it’s not pretty.

GM tray interchange - 12595365.
Lifter type - Conventional .842-inch drop-in hydraulic roller, including compatible GM LS7 and GM Caddy Racing lifters.
Engine families - Gen III/IV LS and Gen V LT V8s configured for conventional non-DoD lifters. For a DoD/AFM conversion, pair these trays with the matching conventional lifters and the other conversion components for your engine.
Optional Replacement Bolt - BTR-51163
GM bolt interchange - 12551163.
Bolt specs - M6 × 1.0 thread, 19 mm under-head length, and a flanged hex head that takes a 10 mm socket.
Quantity - Sold in sets of (4) One bolt per tray.
Gen V LT fitment - Match the bolt to your engine. Applications that call for GM 11611383, including the 2021 Camaro LT1 and LT4, use the 20 mm GM bolt. Follow your engine’s service information for installation and torque.
