6th Gen. Universal Fuel Filter Assembly
By popular demand, Griffin Motorsports is now offering a universal fuel filter package for those who require the finer fuel filtering needed by today’s Di Injectors, and don’t want to clutter up the engine bay. Which was exactly the case that motivated us to create the custom bracket that would support the serviceable Racetronix fuel filter we wanted to use.
We chose this specific Racetronix filter housing for a few distinct reasons. 1: At only 5.5” long and approximately. 2” in diameter and equipped with -10 ORB high flow directional inlets and outlets this this filter body works double duty by being super compact yet high-flowing, which allows you the flexibility to use a wide range of fuel lines from -6 to -10 depending on your fuel volume needs. 2: Was the intelligent two piece case design allowing you access to inspect / clear or replacement the 10 Micron 304SS Filter Element with magnetic base.
For the bracket, it was important that we utilize the largest cavity under the car for easy access even when working off jack stands like me. We designed this bracket to perfectly contour the dimensions of this filter body, and utilizes OEM attachment points. The .063” aluminum bracket is lightweight, and treated to a durable satin wrinkle black powder coat and paired with SS clamp hardware.

Although we have plans to offer a turn-key hose kit, we opted to start with this universal kit due to the wide variety of fuel system designs from car to car. You now have the flexibility to run the hose of your choice to either plumb in to the OEM rigid lines at the quick connectors found approximately 30” down stream, or design your own custom -8AN high flow return-less system like we did. Either way, this universal filter assembly with custom mounting bracket is the perfect way to insure better fuel filtration in order to protect your investment in Injectors, for builds from mild to wild.
